Patch 4.1 Heirloom UpdateAll Heirloom items have had their bindings changed to bind to a single Battle.Net account instead of a World of Warcraft account. This change will let you transfer your items across factions, realms and even the other active World of Warcraft accounts on your Battle.Net Account.

Point of clarification: you still cannot send BoA items across realms. While the b.net change allows you to send items to different WoW accounts on a single Battle.net account, there are still technical limitations preventing cross-realm transfer of BoA items.

I would recommend new tanks disregard the tank heirlooms. The strength DPS heirlooms will provide a much smoother leveling experience, as defensive stats are laughable until you hit level 80, at which point most of those heirlooms cease to scale, and defensive stats on quest gear are slim pickings. I found that a well built set of mostly DPS gear, treated as tanking gear, was more than adequate for the three tanks I leveled from 80-85

TLDR: The damage tanks receive in low level and normal difficulty dungeons simply isn't enough to warrant the use of the new tanking heirlooms.

Saw a Paladin tank Occu'thar with this on the other day. I /gasped but everything seemed to work out fine. I suppose as long as you know what you're doing the stats are plenty fine for tanking some end-game content.

I started a Tauren warrior and put this helm on.....I then deleted him and made an Undead. The helm looks cool, with the spikes shooting up on most races. But on the Taurens it looks like a collar shooting foward....I uploaded a screenshot of what it looks like.

BOA Gear:I have talked to a GM and found out the following from them..

Can not be transferred to ther Servers even though it is Binds to Battle.net Account
You can transfer it between the opposing, as long as it is the same Server
If you have multiple WOW accounts you can transfer them to another one of you Characters as long as it is the same Server

I wish since it was BOA you could move you BOA gear to another Server, the only was to do so is to have it on your Character and transfer them ($25.00 US) to the Server that you desire to have them on.

Seems like Blizzard took the lazy way to code this. It's a copy/paste of the Valor. Just swap stats and voila. Tanking heilrooms!

You can purchase chest, shoulders, and the sword using either Justice Points or Champion's Seals. Cost the same as the other Wrath heilrooms. Even although they were implemented in patch 4.1.0, months after Cataclysm, the max level for chest, shoulders, and the sword only go up to 80.

Helm/cloak can be purchased from guild rewards. 1-85.

I'm trying to find out where I can purchase the Burnished Dark Iron Ring.

Was just at the heirloom vendor at the Tournament grounds and they sell the new shoulders and chest for 60 tokens a piece.

Having all Argent Tournament dailies unlocked, doing each of them, and choosing the Кошелек чемпиона results in gaining 14 each day. It takes 60 seals to get any Chest or Helm heirloom (as well as the Окровавленный разрубатель черепов , Древний священный заряд Дал'Ренда , or aСбалансированный пронзатель сердец : the only weapons for 60 seals).

To get a chest piece, helm, and 60-seal heirloom weapon, it will take 13 days of doing each daily, using this logic :

60 Seal heirloom takes 5 days to gain, 70 seals are gained in the process.
Buying a 60 seal heirloom after 5 days leaves you with 10 seals left towards the next heirloom.
Four days nets 56 seals, with the 10 you had remaining from the previous heirloom, you will have 66.
Buying your second heirloom will leave you with 6 extra seals towards your next heirloom.
Add this to another 4 days (and another 56 seals) and you come up to 62 seals.
Buying your third heirloom on the 13th day will leave you with 2 seals left over.

This is easily proven by the following : 3 heirlooms at 60 seals each = 180 seals needed.14 seals are gained each day. 180/14=12.85 days. Considering you can't earn more than 14 seals any given day, you round up the 12.85 days to 13.

So, in the case of the new tanking heirlooms, you could have all non-guild reward heirlooms in 13 days, with out ever setting foot in a bad PUG for Justice Points!

As I see it these will be pretty much pointless to get, not only the weapons but all the items. They'll be useful at 81 just like the other level 85 capped heirlooms, then you can just buy the 82-83 mop greens that are vastly superior and will have you tearing through quests like mad to 85. I'd say just take the time you'd take on farming the JP and/or Honor for the desired looms and use that to farm on a main for more than enough money to buy the mop greens and you'll be much better set and get much faster experience gain through brute force of overwhelming next-expansion stats.

For Warriors and Paladins (and anyone else) under level 40, these show as Mail armour.

Judging by the stats on these, they seem to be another "up to 85" type of heirloom. Likely going to be added in 4.3ish I'd guess around the same time they added chests in wrath.

Although it's not like this game really needs any faster leveling methods >.>

Items which would normally cause an item to become soulbound have no effect on BoA heirlooms.

I've added shoulder enchants such as Великое начертание рыцаря and not lost the ability to send those items to my low-level characters.

However, enchants that would otherwise cause an item to become soulbound usually have a level requirement. The enchant will not become active until the character wearing the item reaches the appropriate level. In the case of the enchantment I linked, it will only become active when a character reaches level 70. The text for the enchantment will appear in red text, and a line will appear stating that the enchantment requires level XX. (Where XX is replaced with the appropriate 2-digit number).

I believe Account-bound status is on an equivalent level to soulbound status as far as the game code is concerned. It seems once an item is bound (whether to an account or to a character or that character's soul), it cannot then be bound again to anything else.

Edit: I'm not sure why this is down-voted. You're more than welcome to test this for yourself if you don't believe me, but please test it instead of down-voting just because you assumed that BoA items could be turned into soulbound items.

There is no mention of any new heirloom items in the official patch notes though!Edit : The tanking set has indeed been added : cloak and helm up to 85 at the guild vendor, breast, main hand sword and shoulder up to 80 at the justice heirloom vendor. No legs or new ring in 4.1 apparently.

Currently there are no heirloom pants available in the game. They may be used in a later patch/expansion, but for now they're just in the game files.

I bought this ahead of time for my level 22 warrior, thinking I'd be prepared when she hit level 40. But when she received it in the mail, the description said Mail. I couldn't believe my eyes! The armor type actually scales with level!
